Sleep is a natural and very important process in man. Usually, you need 8-10 hours of sleep, but preferably at least 9. It is a necessary process, during which we restart our brain and body. Muscle growth also occurs during this time, so it is even more important for bodybuilders and athletes to get a lot of sleep.
Your circadian rhythm is the process that regulates your sleep and wake cycle. Consistently going to sleep at around the same time and waking up at around the same time is very important for your circadian rhythm to properly function and for you too. An irregular sleep schedule can lead to tiredness and other things. In the mornings, you should be waking up without the help of an alarm clock.
During the deepest stage of sleep, which is called REM (rapid eye movement, because the eyes rapidly move during this stage), dreams occur. Modern soyence has yet to explain the reason behind why dreams occur.
Ancient man believed that dreams carried a divine significance and that they could predict the future. Gods also showed themselves in dreams. To quote from Bronze Age Mindset,
The secret things show in dreams. Heraclitus say, βAll the things you see awake are death, all the things you see asleep are sleep.β He was trying to be coy! In his day many gods, clove-footed satyr, and other things showed themselves to men in dreams.
And to quote from episode 54 of Caribbean Rhythms "Lost Cities",
Gods hide. Gods are hidden and are special, and they only show themselves to certain men of destiny in dreams and in walking visions and such. And in many ages of the past, they taught them to build great structures of different kind. The gods came and taught certain men how to build great structure. Each one presents a different special vision that is seen only by the founder of a great state.

Glycine is a natural amino acid that will make you pass out if taken at night and will give you deep sleep. It can give you very vivid and random dreams. If you suffer from insomnia, this should help you.
The normal dosage for glycine is 2-3 grams, which is around 1/3 of a teaspoon. Add it to a drink (milk or tea) roughly 30 minutes before bed. It's a natural amino acid. You can't overdose on it, really. You'll get sick long before you even get close. Some people have taken up to 40 grams (and some have even taken 90!) without issues, though this will make you feel sick if you are not accustomed to it. If you feel ill at a couple teaspoons, it's just your body not being used to it. That's not even close to overdosing. Do not worry.
The best brands are Bulk Supplements and Micro Ingredients (made in the USA). They come in powder form. What you're looking for will be under the name of "Glycine" or "L-Glycine". Glycine is sometimes also sold in pill form. However, I recommend powder.
